Enrichment is an important part of the educational experience at RSJ, giving pupils opportunities to discover new interests, develop existing passions and grow beyond the classroom. Our programme is built around four key areas: Move, Create, Explore and Connect, with a wide range of activities designed to encourage pupils to get involved and try something new.
The new academic year got off to a lively start with our Enrichment Fair last Saturday, bringing together more than 100 activities for pupils to explore.
From sport and recreation to creative arts, academic societies, community service, performing arts and languages, the range of opportunities on offer is vast. Pupils could find everything from football, aikido and photography to Physics Olympiad, Sustainability Society, orchestra, ballet and language clubs, alongside many more activities.
With so much to choose from, the fair gave pupils the chance to meet the teachers and external specialists leading different activities, ask questions, sample sessions and try things out for themselves before deciding what they would like to take part in this year.
Enrichment also provides opportunities for pupils to take on greater responsibility. For those looking to develop their leadership skills, particularly pupils in Years 12 and 13, there are opportunities in the future to support and help lead activities they are passionate about.
With more than 100 opportunities available, the Enrichment Fair was a great way to start the year and give pupils a taste of the many ways they can Move, Create, Explore and Connect at RSJ.
