This Spring term, RSJ’s halls buzzed with excitement as our annual Inter-House Book Quiz returned for another round of friendly rivalry. After some lively literary showdowns, School House once again claimed the top spot, marking their second consecutive win!
But the real finale came after the House competition. At the start of the Summer Term, the RSJ winners took on an even greater challenge: a friendly (but fiercely competitive!) match against the champions from Tsukuba International School. Both teams brought their A-game, with lightning-fast answers, impressive depth of knowledge, and seamless teamwork on display from start to finish. It was neck-and-neck until the very end, when RSJ just barely nudged ahead to victory.
Once the applause died down, the atmosphere shifted from competition to camaraderie. Our pupils welcomed the visiting team, offering a tour of the school and sharing in some relaxing book-themed activities. It quickly became clear that what united everyone that day was bigger than any quiz: a genuine love of stories, words, and learning together.
We’re already hoping to visit Tsukuba International School next year for a rematch, and we’re excited to see this wonderful tradition continue to grow. Because at the heart of it all, it’s not about the quiz—it’s about connection, curiosity, and the joy of a great book.
