RSJ Pupils Receive Outstanding OxfordAQA Go Further Awards

Following this year’s excellent IGCSE and A Level results, we are delighted to celebrate further recognition for three Rugby School Japan pupils, who have received OxfordAQA Go Further Awards for their achievements in the 2026 examinations.

The awards recognise exceptional performance across International GCSE, International A Level and the International Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). RSJ’s recipients were honoured for achieving the highest mark in Japan in International GCSE Computer Science, the highest mark in Japan, East Asia and the world in International A Level Chemistry, and an Outstanding Achievement Award in the International EPQ.

Our two graduates have since progressed to the University of Oxford and the University of Exeter, while our Year 12 award recipient continues their A Level studies at RSJ, pursuing a range of interests including music, debating and sport.

These achievements reflect not only academic ambition and dedication, but also the curiosity to explore ideas in depth and the perseverance to meet demanding challenges. Behind them is the commitment of our teachers, tutors and House teams, who support pupils in developing their potential throughout their time at RSJ.

At Rugby School Japan, academic excellence is an important part of our commitment to The Whole Person, The Whole Point. We want pupils to achieve highly while also discovering their interests, developing their character and contributing to the communities around them.

We warmly congratulate our award recipients on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to seeing what they go on to achieve.
