Rugby School Japan (RSJ) announces that our Founding Principal, Mr Tony Darby, will step down at the end of the 2025–26 academic year, after four years of dedicated service.
Mr Darby has played a pivotal role in establishing RSJ as the first British boarding school in Greater Tokyo. His leadership and experience from Rugby School in the UK have helped build an outstanding team, foster a culture of academic endeavour, and achieve key milestones, including COBIS Beacon School accreditation and excellent IGCSE and A-level results.
We are grateful for his contribution and will celebrate his achievements later in the year. Preparations for the leadership transition are already underway, and details of his successor will be shared in due course.
