At our recent Parent Forum event on Saturday the 22nd of February, over 40 parents gathered to explore six key areas of school life, engaging in meaningful discussions about the school’s development.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with parents offering thoughtful and constructive suggestions that reinforced their strong support for RSJ’s vision. Their insights will play a valuable role in shaping future initiatives, ensuring that the school continues to grow as a dynamic and inclusive community.
A couple of core issues that came out of the forum was a desire for school event information to be more accessible, and for parents to be better connected together.
In the background we have been working for sometime on improving both of these areas, and we will shortly be launching Classlist to connect parents together, and to communicate to everyone information about upcoming events.
We are also very keen to begin putting on more informal parent events, and the first of which will be on Friday June the 13th on campus. We will also invite senior members of the Rugby School Group, alongside Old Rugbians (those that have graduated from Rugby School and reside in Japan) so as to increase the connectivity. More information on the event will follow in due course.
Classlist
To improve connectivity between parents we are going to introduce a new online system. Classlist is a parent engagement platform that links parents together, for instance by House, and is also designed to enhance school communications to parents

We look forward to engaging with you there in the very near future.
